1. Visual Composer / LayerSlider is asking for activation, what do I do?

Currently you will not be able to activate some plugins with our purchase code because it is verifying the purchase for the plugin itself.

The only thing this affects is the automatic update function that will not work, but we will be launching an update for the theme including the latest version of the plugin periodically.

Once there is an update for any plugin we include in our theme, we will release an update for the theme. Although we provide updates for them, you will have to update the plugins manually.

All the plugins will be stored in .zip files in "includes/lib/plugins" directory located in theme's root folder.

You will have to replace the plugin in your "/wp-content/plugins" folder with the contents of the .zip archive mentioned above.

Make sure to make backups before making any changes, in case something goes wrong.

2. Importing Quickstart XML

Importing Quickstart XML

To import Quickstart XML you must navigate to Tools → Import → Wordpress.

If you haven't done this before, the wordpress will ask you to install an additional plugin that is used for importing the content called "Importer". Click on "Install Now".

Once the plugin is activated you will be redirected to a page with upload form, click on Choose File and navigate to the demo data (XML) directory in archive you downloaded from ThemeForest. Choose the .XML file located there, click on the "Upload file and import" button.

There will be page where you can choose you can assign the created posts to your user, select to Import Attachments (mainly images for posts, pages).

Please note that we are not providing the licenses for the images that will be imported in this process, which means that you will have to either replace them with your own ones or purchase licenses for these images.

The process might take a while to import, but once it's done you will be redirected to a page saying that everything has been imported successfully.

If the Quickstart XML import process returns errors saying that there are no such post types and/or categories that mean that you haven't installed all the plugins and their post types has not been added. If you do not wish to use these plugins, you can ignore these messages.

If you are encountering other problems, make sure that the your web server is allowing to upload the file (php upload_max_filesize, post_max_size directives) and it does not time out (max_execution_time php directive).

Setting Homepage

If you haven't imported QuickStart XML you will need to create two pages before continuing: 1 Default template page for Blog and 1 Drag & Drop Page Builder template page for Homepage.

If that is done, you can navigate to Settings → Reading section in your wp-admin.

Set the the "Front Page Displays" setting to "Static page" and select the "Front page" with the "Drag & Drop Page Builder template page" for homepage, "Posts Page" with the "Default template page" for Blog page.

Importing Homepage Layouts

If you wish to import demo content layouts, you can click on the "Import" button and select a JSON file from the archive downloaded from ThemeForest, located in "demo data(xml)" directory.

3. How can I translate theme into a different language?

Our themes does support translation, other languages but we do not include any translations which means that you will have to translate them by yourself.

It can be translated with a plugin called WPML or by using a free app called poEdit.

4. I've encountered an error / "white screen of death", what do I do?

If you have encountered "white screen of death", please check your web server log files and see what exactly is this error saying.

There are multiple steps you can take to prevent it:

1. Update your theme to the latest version as well as WordPress core.

2. Disable any 3rd party plugins, see if that solves the problem.

3. Make sure your PHP version is 5.4.40 or greater.

4. If all the previous methods does not solve the problem, open up a ticket with the error message.

5. How to update the theme?

Automatic Updating

On newer themes there is an option for the theme to update automatically, you can enable it in Management Page.

Updating Manually

Once there is a newer version of the theme released, you can download it in ThemeForest Downloads section by simply re-downloading the theme once more.

In order to update theme we strongly suggest that you are using FTP or similar service to access the files directly and replace them. You can check changes.txt file to see which files exactly were updated.

Note that uploading the theme in "Appearance -> Themes -> Upload" will consider it as a completely new theme and all your configurations will be lost.

* Make sure to make backups before you are making any changes, we will not be held responsible for any data you have lost.

** If you have a customized parent theme (not using a child theme for customizations), you can use the changes.txt file and apps like WinMerge and CompareMerge to differentiate the changes and merge the customizations with the new version.

*** If you are using a child theme and it still shows that you need to update the theme, make sure to update the child theme's style.css file with the correct version.
